\nThe Belgrade Philharmonic String Quartet kick off their mini tour titled \u2018Philharmonic plays North\u2019, from April 10 to 13.<\/p>\n

“The musicians begin their tour in Zrenjanin\u2019s Baroque Concert Hall, at the Town Hall, on April 10 (7.30 p.m.), and on the following day the audience of Kikinda will have an opportunity to hear them at the National Museum (7 p.m.). The following concert is scheduled for April 12, for the audience of Subotica, to take place in the Grand Concert Hall of the Town Hall (7.30 p.m.), whereas the mini tour will close with the visit to the Home for disabled children, \u2018Cradle\u2019 (\u2018Kolevka\u2019) in Subotica “, as announced by the Belgrade Philharmonic for press release.
\nTogether with clarinetist Veljko Klenkovski, the String Quartet will give performances in these three cities, featuring the works of Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven.
\nThe musicians of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra Jelena Dragni\u0107 (first violin), Vladan Lon\u010dar (second violin), Boris Brezovac (viola) and Aleksandar Latkovi\u0107 (cello), founded the String Quartet within this orchestra in 2011.
\n– We are striving to make every city feel \u201cthe most important of all\u201d , at least while we are in it, because of the art and the music we are playing, hoping that all our cities will be equally important if permeated with culture. During the 2015\/16 season the Quartet has performed for the first time at the Festival Mokranj\u010devi Dani in Negotin, Serbia, and at the Festival Espressivo in Cetinje, Montenegro, at the opening of the SOMUS Festival in Sombor, Serbia, at the National theatre in Banja Luka, Republic of Srpska, and made their first appearance in Izmir, Turkey. Other latest achievements of the Quartet include performances on concert stages such as Manarat al Saadiyat as part of the Abu Dhabi Classics Festival, season opening of \u201cChamber music in Desert\u201d at Qasr al Sarab within Liwa Oasis in United Arab Emirates, concert at Centre Culturel de Serbie in Paris, the first performance in China at Tianjin Concert Hall. \u0422heir concert at Studio 6 Belgrade was broadcasted live by the Serbian Broadcasting Corporation Digital Channel. In January 2016 the Quartet members were mentors for their young colleagu\u0435s at the Winter String Quartet Workshop in Podgorica, Montenegro. The Quartet has performed during the Workshop at the Modern Gallery in Podgorica. In June 2015, in cooperation with clarinetist Ognjen Popovi\u0107, the Belgrade Philharmonic String Quartet has published their first compact disc containing compositions by Ludwig van Beethoven and Johannes Brahms. In the season 2013\/14, the Quartet and their guests appeared in a cycle of five chamber music concerts named Quartet+1, in the Belgrade Philharmonic Concert Hall. In addition to compositions for the string quartet, this cycle also included quintets with two violas, with clarinet, piano and voice. Other latest achievements of the Quartet include performances on concert stages such as Manarat al Saadiyat as part of the Abu Dhabi Classics Festival, season opening of \u201cChamber music in Desert\u201d at Qasr al Sarab within Liwa Oasis in United Arab Emirates, concert at Centre Culturel de Serbie in Paris, the first performance in China at Tianjin Concert Hall. \u0422heir concert at Studio 6 Belgrade was broadcasted live by the Serbian Broadcasting Corporation Digital Channel. In January 2016 the Quartet members were mentors for their young colleagu\u0435s at the Winter String Quartet Workshop in Podgorica, Montenegro. The Quartet has performed during the Workshop at the Modern Gallery in Podgorica. In June 2015, in cooperation with clarinetist Ognjen Popovi\u0107, the Belgrade Philharmonic String Quartet has published their first compact disc containing compositions by Ludwig van Beethoven and Johannes Brahms. In the season 2013\/14, the Quartet and their guests appeared in a cycle of five chamber music concerts named Quartet+1, in the Belgrade Philharmonic Concert Hall. In addition to compositions for the string quartet, this cycle also included quintets with two violas, with clarinet, piano and voice.
